Gi Group are looking for a Transport Planner based in Redhill who will be responsible for the effective planning and coordination of vehicle movements, driver schedules, and delivery routes to ensure a safe, efficient, and cost-effective transport operation.
The role involves liaising with drivers, customers, and internal departments to ensure service levels are achieved while maintaining compliance with transport legislation and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and schedule daily transport operations, ensuring efficient utilisation of vehicles and drivers.
- Create and optimise delivery and collection routes to maximise efficiency and minimise costs.
- Monitor vehicle movements and respond to any operational issues or delays.
- Liaise with drivers regarding schedules, route changes, customer requirements, and transport updates.
- Maintain accurate transport records and planning documentation.
- Communicate with customer service to provide updates on delivery and collection schedules.
- Work closely with warehouse, customer service, sales, and operational teams to meet customer requirements.
- Investigate and resolve delivery issues, customer complaints, and service failures.
- Support continuous improvements within the transport operation.
- Ensure adherence to all H&S requirements
- To undertake any other additional tasks as required by the Company

- Reduction in failed deliveries and service issues.
Person Specification
- Previous experience in a transport planning, logistics, or fleet coordination role.
- Good geographical knowledge of the UK road network.
- Strong organisational and planning skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to problem-solve and make decisions quickly.
- Experience using transport management systems (TMS).
