Oil & Petrochemicals Inspector – Cargo & Vessel Operations

What you’ll do

  • Attend vessels, shore tanks, and terminals to carry out cargo inspections.
  • Check and verify cargo operations, tanks, and transfer systems.
  • Conduct sampling, measurement, and compliance checks in line with industry standards.
  • Prepare clear and accurate inspection reports for clients.
  • Work closely with shipping agents, operators, and terminal staff.
  • Maintain a 24‑hour on‑call status.

About you

  • Background in Inspection, Testing and Certification within the Oil and Petrochemicals Industry.
  • Experience with tankers, offshore support vessels, or oil & gas logistics is highly desirable.
  • IFIA certification is desirable.
  • Knowledge of cargo operations (loading, unloading, tank cleaning, gas freeing).
  • Strong reporting, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Comfortable working independently at vessels and ports.
  • Flexible and willing to work unsociable hours/travel at short notice.
