Salary: £35,919. Location: Nottingham. Days: Monday to Friday. Standard hours: 07:30 hrs - 16:30 hrs. After 45 hours: 1.5 hourly rate – £41,905.50 pa on average 50 hr pw.

Qualifications & Personal Attributes:
- Competent driver with at least 2 years commercial driving experience.
- Good geographical knowledge of the local and surrounding areas.
- Customer focused experience and expertise to underpin ability to deliver the role fully.
- Good physical health is required as this can be a physically demanding role at times.
- Flexible in approach to work, able to work reasonable overtime if required, and adhere to all health & safety practice.
Responsibilities:
- Delivering/collecting the company's units and equipment to its customers at the right location and time, planning deliveries to achieve optimum fuel consumption and efficient use of driver time.
- Inspecting all units and equipment on collection to ensure it is in good order, recording all visible damage, excessive dirtiness, missing items, etc.
- Ensuring all necessary company paperwork is completed in the correct manner to avoid disputes later; e.g., signatures obtained for time of delivery/collection, damage sustained or missing plant.
- Driving company vehicles in a safe, courteous and responsible manner, operating within transport regulations regarding driving hours, tacograph usage per Ministry of Transport requirements.
- Operating all lifting equipment safely and in accordance with all Company Safety Directives and method statements, loading and unloading plant and equipment in accordance with safe practice, Company Safety Directives and Method Statements, ensuring axle weights are not exceeded.
- Carrying out daily checks of vehicle and any lifting/holding equipment (including straps and chains), recording any defects and reporting them to the Foreman / Depot Manager / Fleet Manager.
