I am supporting a leading organisation that is seeking an experienced and proactive EHS Specialist to strengthen its environmental health and safety function. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is confident engaging with people at all levels and who enjoys driving continuous improvement across safety, environment and sustainability.
The role includes:
- Working closely with the EHS Manager to analyse trends and support the delivery of improvements across safety, environment, sustainability and ergonomics.
- Developing and maintaining the environmental health and safety management system.
- Coordinating incident management including timely reporting and investigation of accidents, near misses and hazard observations.
- Supporting departments in investigations ensuring root causes are identified and corrective actions are completed.
- Carrying out risk assessments, audits and workplace inspections to identify opportunities for risk reduction.
- Promoting a positive safety culture by sharing best practice and encouraging engagement across the site.
- Collating and reporting EHS data including energy performance.
- Facilitating monthly EHS committee meetings.
- Leading and supporting safety campaigns and initiatives aligned with the EHS scorecard.
- Maintaining improvement plans and ensuring actions are closed out promptly.
- Supporting the development and implementation of emergency response plans.
- Ensuring ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems remain compliant and effective.
