GI Group are currently recruiting Class 2 REFUSE Drivers for one of our local authorities.

Shift Details

  • Shift: AM Shifts [0630 – 1430] HRS
  • Days: Monday to Friday
  • Average 8 hour shift

Pay & Benefits

  • Monday to Friday: £15.58 – £17.46

Main Duties

  • Conducting Vehicle safety checks and road worthiness
  • Lead a small crew, give instructions, and manage performance on daily routes
  • Communicate clearly with team members and when engaging with the public

The Candidate

  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety procedures and road safety in traffic environments
  • Competent in using in-cab systems and software to record service delivery and incidents
  • Flexible and physically fit, able to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and in all weather conditions
  • Commitment to high standards of cleanliness, safety, and customer service, representing the Council positively
