Job Summary: Meter Reader in Brackley, Towcester, BUCKINGHAM. No experience required. Full‑time role, active outdoor duties, flexible schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Collect data from gas, electricity & water meters for commercial and residential properties.
- Update meter reads accurately using handheld device throughout the day.
- Enter details at each location and provide excellent customer service.
- Retrieve data from domestic, commercial and industrial sites for water, gas and electric meters.
- Carry out visual inspections of metering equipment.
- Conduct Charge Point Surveys.
Requirements:
- Manual UK Driving Licence (minimum 1 year, max 6 points, no DR offences).
- Physically fit – able to bend, lift, kneel, climb stairs, crouch, walk 4‑5 miles a day.
- Ready to work in all weather conditions.
- Clear DBS check.
- Credit report check – no county court judgments, IVA or debt relief orders recorded in last 6 years.
- 5 years employment history.
- Previous customer service experience (preferred).
