Travel Nurse Job Details

- Location: Lancaster, SC 29720 (South Carolina healthcare jobs)
- Healthcare Setting: Community Hospital, Labor & Delivery Unit
- Start Date: September 29, 2025
- End Date: December 29, 2025
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: Night shifts, 12 hours (6:45pm – 7:15am)
- Schedule: 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts per week (every other weekend required)
- Patient Ratios: 1:1 – 1:2
- Charting System: Epic
- Scrub Color: Royal Blue or White
- Parking: Free on-site parking
Labor & Delivery RN Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience (LDRP experience preferred)
- Experience with high-risk obstetric patients and newborn care, including infant transition post-delivery
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Active South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact RN license (must be active prior to start date)
- Required certifications: BLS, NRP, ACLS (AHA only)
- STABLE certification preferred
- Epic electronic medical record experience preferred
- First-time travel nurses not accepted
Key Responsibilities for Labor & Delivery Nurse
- Deliver compassionate, expert care to laboring mothers and newborns in a high-risk clinical environment
- Circulate for C-sections and assist with all labor and delivery procedures
- Monitor, recognize, and intervene for abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
- Float to related units within nursing scope as needed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, social services)
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Epic
- Comply with hospital policies and participate in emergency response protocols, including hurricane season preparedness
