We are an established group of companies, led by Touker Suleyman (BBC Dragons Den), which includes brands such as Ghost and Finery London. You will be responsible for the day-to-day execution of our SEO strategy for Ghost Fashion and Finery London, covering both Technical and Content-focused deliverables, as well as reporting and insights. This is a hands-on role reporting into the Chief Digital Officer. Onsite, you will have a Senior SEO Manager to consult with when needed.
Job responsibilities:
- Execute and deliver SEO strategies
- Manage SEO for Shopify, including handling 404 pages and redirects
- Perform on-page and off-page optimisation: keyword research, competitor analysis, optimising title tags, meta descriptions, and content
- Collaborate with the Marketing Team and Content Writer to implement SEO strategies
- Monitor Google updates and algorithm changes
- Research and recommend SEO updates for existing ecommerce content
- Utilise SEO tools such as Semrush and Google Search Console
- Manage link-building campaigns
- Conduct technical audits to identify crawl issues and improve site speed
- Optimise Shopify website architecture, including robots.txt, meta tags, and canonical tags to prevent duplicate content and enhance crawl efficiency
- Optimise meta descriptions, titles, headings (H1-H3), and image alt texts
Qualifications/Skillsets:
- Marketing or business-related degree
- Minimum of 2 years SEO experience, preferably within an agency or retail, with a focus on fashion retail
- Strong technical SEO knowledge
- At least 2 years experience in content and keyword strategy development and execution
- Experience with GA4, GSC, Semrush, Ahrefs, and other SEO tools
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel
