Excellent opportunity for an experienced loss adjuster to join a high quality Claims Management business, to develop and grow the Property team. The role of the Loss Adjuster is responsible for all aspects of property claim investigation, consideration of policy coverage, validation process of appropriate settlement in an efficient and timely manner. This will be both a site and home-based position and will enable you to deal with cases from their first receipt in the office until completion of claims encompassing all the core values of loss adjusting. You will be provided a designated geographical area whilst, working as part of a team you will assist with other cases as workloads and holidays demand, you may have to cover other areas. Attendance at company and client events and meetings are essential. We have vacancies in the South East of England and Ireland.
What will you be responsible for:
- Carry out initial inspections and site visits.
- Assess damage; determine probable cause and have a detailed knowledge of all aspects of Domestic & Commercial claims, processes and be able to interpret and apply policy cover, terms and conditions as appropriate.
- Provide technical advice, support and guidance to all parties as well as proposing bespoke solutions in a friendly and professional manner.
- Determine further investigations and monitoring, where necessary, and any remedial or temporary works required.
- Provide a detailed ABI preliminary report within the agreed SLA's, maintaining high standards of communication at all times, both internally and externally.
- Process claims in accordance with insurers philosophy, standards, service levels and complaints procedure and proactively progress the claim.
- Attend re-visits as required and report accordingly and update all relevant parties.
- Can respond positively to varying client requirements and changes in the wider business environment.
- Pro-actively direct any specialist appropriate to the circumstances and manage them.
- Report and correspondence writing, either dictation or self-type.
- Manage expectations of both Policyholders and all parties associated with the claim.
- Manage your case load effectively and proactively.
What we need from you:
- Cert CII and / or Cert CILA.
- Minimum 2 years loss adjusting in both Domestic and Commercial or Proven Property Claims Adjusting / Handling experience from either a Loss Adjuster, Insurer or similar.
- Full / clean driving license.
- Self-sufficient, confident, excellent communication skills, attention to detail.
- Household and Commercial Insurance Policies or similar industry Knowledge.
