Job Description

Forget about a role where you only produce models and technical drawings - we’re looking for someone who can help set the standard for digital delivery.

At GHD, our technicians sit at the heart of project delivery.

They bring engineering ideas to life, create clarity for design teams, and help clients understand how complex infrastructure, buildings and environments will be delivered.

We are looking for a Senior Technician with strong Revit capability, assurance mindset and collaborative leadership skills to support our multidisciplinary teams, improve the quality of our digital outputs and help develop others around them.

This is a role for someone who wants to be more than a production resource.

It is for someone who can influence standards, support delivery, mentor colleagues and help teams work smarter through better modelling, coordination and information management.

What You Will Do

  • Lead the delivery of high-quality Revit models, drawings and digital design information across a varied project portfolio.
  • Support multidisciplinary engineering and project teams by turning technical input into clear, coordinated and buildable design documentation.
  • Undertake quality checks on models and drawings to ensure compliance with project requirements, GHD standards and ISO 19650 principles.
  • Use BIM 360, Autodesk Construction Cloud and common data environments to support efficient collaboration and information management.
  • Work closely with Project Managers, BIM Managers, engineers and designers to manage priorities, resolve information gaps and support delivery to programme and budget.
  • Mentor technicians and junior team members, helping build confidence, capability and consistency across the team.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, strengthen assurance and embed best practice across digital delivery.
  • What Success Looks Like
  • Project teams trust your models, drawings and documentation because they are accurate, coordinated and clearly structured.
  • You help reduce ambiguity by asking the right questions, resolving gaps early and keeping information flowing between disciplines.
  • You raise standards across the team, not just on your own work, by sharing knowledge and supporting others to develop.
  • You balance quality, programme, collaboration and technical accuracy without losing sight of the client outcome.
  • You are confident working in structured BIM environments and can help others follow the right processes.
  • What Makes This Role Different At GHD
  • You will work across a diverse portfolio, supporting technically interesting projects within a leading multidisciplinary consultancy.
  • Your role will combine hands-on technical delivery with coordination, assurance and mentoring responsibilities.
  • You will be trusted to influence how work is delivered, not simply asked to follow instructions.
  • You will have the opportunity to strengthen regional capability and help embed better digital delivery practices.
  • You will be part of a global professional services organisation with the scale, technical depth and collaborative culture to support your development.
  • We Are Looking For People Who
  • Are highly proficient in Autodesk Revit and confident producing coordinated, high-quality models and drawings.
  • Understand BIM standards, ISO 19650 principles, model coordination, common data environments and digital delivery workflows.
  • Have experience using BIM 360 or Autodesk Construction Cloud for project collaboration.
  • Can work collaboratively with engineers, project managers, designers and external stakeholders.
  • Bring a strong quality mindset and understand the importance of accurate, well-governed design information.
  • Enjoy mentoring others and helping teams improve how they work.
  • Have knowledge of Civil 3D, 4D modelling or wider Autodesk Design Suite tools; these would be advantageous but are not essential for every candidate.
  • You will thrive here if
  • You care about the detail, but you also understand the bigger delivery picture.
  • You are comfortable helping others work through technical or coordination challenges.
  • You like improving standards, not just meeting them.
  • You can stay calm when priorities shift and help teams move work forward pragmatically.
  • You want a role where your technical expertise, judgement and ability to support others will all be valued.

We welcome different routes into this role.

We know strong technical leadership can come from different backgrounds.

You may have developed your career in consultancy, contracting, architecture, engineering design, infrastructure, buildings, water, energy, transport, industrial or other project environments.

What matters is your ability to produce high-quality digital design information, collaborate across disciplines, support others and bring structure to complex delivery settings.

If you want to help set the standard for digital delivery, develop others and play a visible role in how projects are delivered, we would like to hear from you.

Join GHD.

Lead the difference.
