GHD’s Graduate Program is aimed at developing our future technical specialists. During the course of our two-year global graduate development programme, our Graduate Engineers will work with our Engineering teams developing skills across a wide variety of projects in the Water, Energy, Industrial, Property and Buildings sectors both in the UK and overseas. Your contribution will make a positive lasting benefit to the environment and our communities.
We are looking for enthusiastic, pro-active and forward-thinking Graduate Electrical Consultants to embrace this opportunity and be part of our growing power team, delivering a range of power generation, energy conversion, electricity transmission and distribution projects for our clients in Europe, the Middle East and Australia. We are seeking engineers to join our power team in our Newcastle office.
Your responsibilities would include delivering electrical engineering projects in the areas of:
- Power generation such as offshore and onshore wind, solar PV, waste to energy and conventional gas
- Energy conversion such as Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and hydrogen electrolysers
- Onshore and offshore electricity transmission and distribution
Types of work delivered will include but not be limited to:
- Power systems analysis including Grid Code compliance and network planning
- Feasibility studies
- Front End Engineering Design (FEED) and Concept Design of transmission and distribution networks and substations
- Production of equipment technical specifications
- Technical advisor and due diligence roles
