Transport Planner / Traffic Engineer – London or Guildford. Hybrid (3 days per week in the office). We are committed to solving the world's biggest challenges in the built environment. The Opportunity
As a Transport Planner / Traffic Engineer, you’ll support the planning, design and delivery of a wide range of transport and infrastructure projects—from active travel and public realm improvements to highway schemes, rail interfaces, and major mobility upgrades. You’ll play a key role in shaping sustainable transport solutions and will have opportunities to build strong client relationships and grow within a supportive, multidisciplinary environment.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare transport engineering designs, drawings, and technical documentation
- Collect, analyse, and interpret transport and traffic data
- Support feasibility studies, assessments, and early-stage design
- Contribute to the design and evaluation of engineering solutions
- Assist with monitoring construction and improvement works
- Undertake inspections under the guidance of senior engineers
- Support project delivery, contract coordination, and client engagement
- Apply continuous improvement and digital tools to enhance project outcomes
- Maintain awareness of current standards, technology trends, and regulations
What You Bring
- Degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Transport Planning, or related field
- 3–6 years of experience in transport or traffic engineering
- Strong analytical skills and familiarity with industry design tools
- Confident communicator with stakeholder engagement experience
- Ability to navigate complex information and contribute to sound engineering decisions
- Collaborative mindset with a passion for innovation and problem solving
- Experience supporting junior team members is advantageous
