The Role
This role will be tasked with expanding the Supply Chain Resilience vertical as it is established and grown. The focus is on helping clients understand, quantify and respond to supply chain disruption through a combination of risk insight, freight modelling, regulatory alignment and commercial strategy.
We envision the supply chain resilience advisory vertical as an integrated capability that helps organisations strengthen resilience, improve visibility, and respond more effectively to risk across critical supply chains.
- Asset capability and capacity
- Geopolitical tensions and regulatory change
- Supply chain disruption from human-driven shocks and climate change drivers
- Network visibility, collaboration, flexibility, and control
The successful candidate will be a systems thinker who can connect operational realities, asset characteristics, market dynamics and geopolitics as well as client value, while helping shape the offer, win priority opportunities and build the foundations of a scalable team. The role also requires a consulting mindset: working across multidisciplinary teams, contributing to proposition development, and helping clients translate complex resilience challenges into practical, deliverable strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop the Supply Chain Resilience offer across logistics and supply chain consulting, building on our proposition and methodologies while expanding priority growth opportunities.
- Identify and progress priority client opportunities, supporting business development, proposals, bids and early-stage delivery as the vertical grows.
- Advise clients on supply chain resilience challenges, including risk exposure, corridor dependency, freight flows, continuity planning and the wider commercial implications of disruption.
- Translate complex operational, commercial and regulatory issues into clear implementation strategies that deliver measurable client value and support practical outcomes.
- Use freight modelling, origin-destination analysis and wider supply chain insight to assess vulnerabilities, model scenarios and identify improvement opportunities.
- Work across adjacent topics such as compliance, policy, infrastructure and operational transformation where they intersect with resilience outcomes.
- Be a clear advocate who can champion adoption, define practical use cases, support responsible experimentation, and embed LLM augmentation into delivery methods rather than treating it as a standalone tool.
- Help define the methodologies, propositions and delivery approaches that will support future team growth and the long-term development of the vertical.
- Collaborate with colleagues across advisory, technical and sector teams to bring together multidisciplinary solutions that respond to complex client challenges.
Key Skills & Experience Required
We are looking for a commercially minded systems thinker who is able to move across multiple problems, understand how supply chain, infrastructure, contracts, policy and operations interact, and turn that understanding into practical recommendations and strategic value for clients. They should be comfortable operating as a seller doer with the credibility to engage senior stakeholders while also helping to shape delivery. Strong communication, collaboration and the ability to navigate ambiguity will be important, particularly in an emerging space where the individual will help define how the offer develops in the market.
Experience and Background
- Experience in management consulting, strategic advisory, or commercial leadership within operational logistics, ports, freight or broader supply chain environments.
- Strong understanding of supply chain resilience, risk, freight modelling, logistics flows, business continuity or operational strategy.
- Ability to connect operational issues to commercial outcomes, client priorities and consulting value creation, with a practical understanding of how strategic advice translates into implementation.
- Experience working with senior client stakeholders on complex, cross-functional challenges and building credibility across multidisciplinary teams.
- Understanding of regulatory, contractual or compliance considerations affecting logistics and supply chain performance would be valuable.
- LLM-enabled delivery augmentation will be a critical skill, enabling teams to accelerate analysis, synthesis, scenario development, and client-ready outputs while maintaining appropriate human judgement, quality control, and governance.
- Track record of supporting business development, helping win work, shaping propositions or building new capabilities would be highly desirable.
