About the Position

Based in our Leeds Office. Reporting to a Team Leader and collaborating across the rail sector, your anticipated responsibilities include:

  • Providing technical assistance and analytical support in demand and revenue forecasting, crowding and CAD modelling, and business case appraisals for rail franchising and transport scheme appraisals.
  • Supporting Senior Engineers and Consultants to deliver value to our clients. Prepare project reports and other technical documentation, support at client presentations and assist with bids, proposals and marketing activities.
  • Application of your acquired skills, sharing knowledge across the wider business groups.
  • Successful contribution to and delivery of projects in a team environment.

To deliver against these responsibilities you will demonstrate:

  • An honours degree in relevant subject area.
  • Interest in the rail industry; knowledge of public transport fares and ticketing strategies, business case and value for money appraisals and the challenges around decarbonisation is advantageous.
  • Previous experience of complex spreadsheet applications and handling of large and complex data sets.
  • Intermediate use of Microsoft suite, particularly Excel, and PowerPoint, familiarity with GIS.
  • Be a problem solver and collaborative teammate with good communication skills.
