We’re looking for a motivated Social Media Production Coordinator to support bringing ghd to life across our social platforms. You’ll play a key role in helping plan, produce, and publish engaging social content that builds community, drives engagement, and reflects our brand voice.

This is a hands-on creative role for someone early in their career who’s excited by the end-to-end social content process: from supporting shoot ideas and assisting on production days, to helping manage content calendars and ensuring posts feel on-brand.

Social media is a key strategic pillar for ghd, operating within the Media Model of Owned, Earned and Paid. This role will focus on supporting the brand’s global Owned & Paid social output, sitting within the Social/PR team and working closely with the Paid Social & Brand Marketing teams.

Based in London on a hybrid basis, this role supports global markets and works closely with regional teams, contributing to best-in-class social output across channels. This position is a 12-month fixed term contract.

LOCATION: This role will be based in our London (Soho) office, and we offer a hybrid working pattern of 3 days in the office and 2 days WFH.

JOB ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Content Production
    • Support the Global Social Media Team in ideating social media concepts for key ghd product campaigns.
    • Assist with planning and producing photo and video shoots for social media, working alongside internal teams and external creators.
    • Hands-on content support: attending brand campaign shoots and capturing social-first assets on set under guidance.
    • Assist with reactive content creation in response to social trends.
    • Help prepare assets for stakeholder reviews and sign-off.
    • It is not essential, but beneficial if the candidate is comfortable with being content creation in front of the camera occasionally.
  • Shoot Support
    • Assist with organising social shoots, including pre-production planning, shot lists, on-set support, and post-production coordination.
  • Design, Creative & A.I.
    • Support the creation of branded social media assets (static, motion, and story formats) using tools such as Canva.
    • Assist with editing and enhancing assets using AI-based tools, maintaining creative quality and brand consistency.
    • Learn and experiment with AI-driven design tools to support efficient content production.
  • Content Planning
    • Support the maintenance of ghd’s bi-weekly social media calendar and assist with deployment to local markets.
  • Brand Support
    • Help ensure all social content aligns with brand identity, tone of voice, and creative guidelines.
  • Creative Ideation
    • Contribute ideas for platform-native content, trends, and storytelling moments.
  • Performance Insight
    • Assist in monitoring content performance and compiling reports to support future content creation.
  • Additional
    • Provide general support across the Social Media team as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 1 – 2 years’ experience (or relevant internships/placements) in social media, content production, or a creative role.
  • Interest in AI-assisted design and content creation tools.
  • Strong interest in social media platforms, particularly Instagram and TikTok.
  • Basic ability to shoot and edit short-form video content.
  • Basic graphic design skills using Adobe Creative Suite or similar tools.
  • Organised, proactive, and eager to learn.
  • Creative mindset with an interest in performance and insights.
  • Good understanding of social trends and digital culture.
