About this Role
Reporting to the National Sales Manager, the primary role of the Regional Manager is to lead, inspire and mentor the Premium Retail teams in the north of the UK from Glasgow down to Nottingham. Implementing the retail strategy to drive sales and profitability across the region’s stores. The responsibility of Regional Manager is to coach and develop the team, inspiring them to provide our customers with an exceptional customer experience, sharing a passion for the brand, and our products.
Job Role and Responsibilities
- Lead by example with enthusiasm and energy and inspire your team on a day-to-day basis, to deliver the retail strategy and ensure all work is completed to a high standard by spending time coaching and providing in the moment feedback.
- Foster a culture of creativity and excellence.
- Role model and champion the 5Cs framework: Collaborative, Creative, Courageous, Connected, Committed.
- Manage recruitment for your region, from identifying the ideal staffing model per store, to creating a comprehensive recruiting and onboarding programme.
- Induct and develop your team, and handle people issues in a timely manner.
- Monitor store performance, working with the teams in store to highlight and drive great results.
- Implement the mystery shop and continually use this framework as an opportunity to develop teams.
- Carry out all people management aspects with your direct reports such as 1-1’s, coaching and feedback, performance reviews, recruitment, and induction.
- Work with the education department to ensure all members of your regional team have the product knowledge required.
- Actively communicate clearly across the business ensuring everyone who needs to know, does know.
- Support and drive events both internally and externally.
Trading
- Full accountability for managing the P&L across your region.
- Develop and deliver proposals to enhance ongoing performance.
- Secure appropriate allocation and sell-in for new launches and core stock on an ongoing basis.
- Propose and drive weekly trade activity to drive sales.
- Partner with other functions to ensure all retail opportunities are maximised.
- Achieve operational excellence consistently.
- Drive and promote efficient stock control for continuous improvement.
- Regularly conduct commercial store visits to ensure all stores are delivering the highest levels of customer service.
- Identify store performance issues and provide concise strategies and action plans.
- Hold regular sales meetings within your region.
Retail Operations
- Engage in our positive health and safety culture, ensuring all stores are compliant with all Health and Safety regulations.
- Lead the implementation of all in-store activities, following the marketing calendar.
- Maintain effective stock control systems, measure results, review, and act on a regular basis.
- Address and rectify any lapses in compliance with company policies.
- Training and setting operational goals and expectations.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures incorporating ‘the Owners mindset’ attitude.
Requirements
- To live within the northern region to enable easy travel within the full region (UK North Glasgow - Nottingham).
- Extensive experience in a similar retail role ideally with experience in beauty or a people and customer focused, retail business.
- Excellent people management experience and skills, including managing remote teams.
- Multi-site and ideally multi-channel sales experience.
- Ability to coach and mentor teams to drive elevated levels of performance.
- Collaborative and influential at all levels.
- In-depth understanding of the market to maintain competitive awareness.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated, passionate, empathetic individual with a positive attitude.
- Demonstrate ownership and accountability.
