Position Summary

GHD has an opportunity for an experienced Senior EC&I Engineer to join a growing team based in one of our Northwest offices. You will have experience working on multi-discipline design projects within the Water sector, and it would be advantageous to have experience in other sectors such as Industrial, Chemical, Power, or Nuclear. Ideally, candidates should have achieved Chartered Engineer (CEng) status and have a minimum of 7 years' experience working in an engineering design organisation. Providing solutions to fit the needs of our clients, you will be developing design deliverables such as Control Philosophy/FDS, SLD, CBD, schedules, loop drawings, and cable calculations. You will also have daily exposure to clients and feel comfortable building and developing strong business relationships and work pipelines.

Qualifications, Technical Skills, and Experience

  • Degree qualified in an Electrical Engineering discipline
  • Chartered member, or working towards, of a relevant professional body (IET)
  • Excellent technical knowledge across a variety of sectors
  • Design Management skills with a focus on delivering to client requirements
  • Supervising and mentoring junior engineers and graduates
  • Experienced user of Microsoft Office software and with a working knowledge of Amtech ProDesign and AutoCAD
  • An aptitude for any of the following will be advantageous: HV design, ATEX, SIL design experience
