We are looking for Nursing Home Care Assistants for our fabulous care home situated in Giltbrook, Nottingham. Our beautiful award-winning care home requires experienced, professional staff to expand our team. We strive for and provide a high standard of care for our residents. Our care home offers exceptional nursing and dementia care in a lovely setting with great care and friendly staff. We celebrate the close-knit family and community we have in our home, celebrating each resident, creating good relationships with them and their relatives.

To join our team it will be important for you to have demonstrative experience of a similar position in a care home or similar environment and ideally have the relevant NVQ qualifications (not required) and/or experience.

Location: Giltbrook, Nottingham, NG16 2GE (near the IKEA Nottingham) – please check to see if you are able to commute before applying

Days: Weekdays and weekends.

Hours: 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am

Shifts: 12-hour shifts, day time shifts can be early or late shifts (ie 7am-1pm and 1pm-7pm)

Pay: National Minimum Wage

Contract: Bank/Part-time with the possibility of full time (to cover annual leave and sickness)

The successful candidates will ideally:

  • Have good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Be reliable with excellent time keeping skills.
  • Be passionate about delivering high standards of care.
  • Have a passion for working with people with dementia
  • NVQ Level 2 or above in Health & Social Care is desirable.

Staff are well supported at all times; we offer continual training in a friendly environment. We encourage an atmosphere of good communication, learning and look for feedback for ways in which to improve our services.
