About the Role
The Client Lead, Strategy is a pivotal role that bridges strategic client leadership with social-first strategic thinking. Sitting between the Content & Campaign Director and Client Partner, this position is designed to prepare future Client Partners by combining experienced client leadership with strong strategic judgement. You'll lead the day-to-day client relationship across multiple accounts, ensuring delivery is tight, communications are strong, and campaign thinking is rooted in insight and ambition. You will bring genuine strategic experience to the role, developing social-first recommendations grounded in audience, platform and performance insight, and presenting them to clients with confidence and clear rationale. Speed of output is paramount to success at GH05T; you'll set the pace on your accounts, turning insight into recommendation and action quickly without compromising quality. AI is essential to this role. You will use it intelligently within your work and, most importantly, within the strategic process, using it to accelerate research, deepen audience insight and raise the quality of thinking. Central to this is Platform 05, our ecosystem of 20+ proprietary tools, built by us to elevate social-first output and focused on speed, scale and success. You will model best practice for the teams around you. This role requires proven experience in client-facing leadership alongside strong strategic instincts. You'll be expected to guide internal teams, steer client relationships with maturity, and represent GH05T's thinking across strategy, content and creative.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary day-to-day client contact, ensuring consistent communication, smooth feedback cycles and growing trust.
- Build relationships across client teams to understand priorities, pressure points and growth opportunities.
- Represent GH05T in meetings across delivery, creative and strategic conversations.
- Anticipate client needs, mitigate risks early and offer solutions that balance practicality with ambition.
Strategic Thinking & Application
- Develop social-first strategic recommendations grounded in audience, platform and cultural insight.
- Translate client business objectives into clear social strategies, channel plans and measurement frameworks.
- Place social within each client's wider marketing and business context, ensuring recommendations align with broader objectives.
- Provide on-the-spot consultancy in client meetings, offering real-time insight and recommendations as trends and opportunities emerge.
- Use data, social listening and performance insight to inform planning, sharpen recommendations and prove value, working with our Performance Team to evaluate effectiveness.
- Own the strategic direction of your accounts, ensuring work is rooted in strategic intent and aligned to client objectives.
- Present strategic thinking to clients persuasively, in meetings, QBRs, decks and pitches.
- Tailor recommendations across platforms, staying ahead of algorithm and audience behaviour shifts and capitalising on the strengths of each.
AI-Enabled Ways of Working

Campaign & Content Oversight
- Oversee the delivery of content programmes and multi-format campaigns, ensuring everything is on time, on brand and aligned with client objectives.
- Partner with the Content & Campaign Director to manage project workflows, quality control and creative execution.
- Provide guidance to internal teams during campaign planning, briefing, amends and reporting.
- Step in to manage escalations, unblock issues or re-align teams where required.
Organic Growth & Commercial Awareness
- Identify opportunities to grow GH05T's footprint across existing accounts, from new departments and deliverables to platform and format expansion.
- Partner with the Client Partner on commercial reporting, forecasting and growth planning.
- Help frame new ideas or solutions in a way that is commercially sound and strategically relevant.
- Collaborate with creative, performance and production teams to ensure priorities are aligned and clear.
- Support the development of junior team members, offering mentorship and guidance on client handling, strategic development and effective use of AI.
- Model calm, organised and constructive behaviours, particularly in fast-paced or high-pressure situations.

Requirements
- Have 6+ years in a client-facing, strategy or campaign role within a creative, digital or social agency, with proven experience leading client relationships.
- Have a strong strategic instinct and a track record of developing social-first strategies that deliver on business goals.
- Have a deep understanding of social platforms, algorithms, content formats and audience behaviour.
- Are comfortable with data, using social analytics, listening and performance reporting to build insight and tell a clear story.
- Can think strategically and creatively at once, offering high-level insight alongside on-the-spot tactical recommendations.
- Understand wider marketing practices and how social fits within them, giving clients valuable context beyond the channel.
- Are proficient and confident using AI tools in your daily work and can demonstrate how they elevate your strategic thinking and efficiency.
- Know how to judge, edit and elevate AI-assisted work so it meets a high strategic bar.
- Are confident in managing client relationships and guiding them through feedback, approvals and reporting.
- Are a confident presenter of strategic work.
- Have experience working with corporate clients, ideally in regulated or complex sectors.
- Understand how to connect strategy and delivery workflows to broader account growth.
- Are highly proficient in tools like Figma, Monday.com, PowerPoint and Google Workspace, and ready to master Platform 05, our ecosystem of 20+ proprietary tools built to elevate social-first output.
