We are recruiting for a newly created role with our client, a growing accountancy firm in Kilmarnock. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced non-qualified Accountant, AAT Accountant or Accounts Senior to join their team.

This is a varied role where you will take ownership of your own portfolio of clients and play an important part in supporting their day-to-day accounting requirements.
\n
\n
The role would suit someone who has gained experience within an accountancy practice and is confident working with sole traders, limited companies and small businesses.
\n
\n
Your responsibilities will include:

\n
- \n
- Preparing & reviewing accounts for a diverse portfolio of clients (limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders).
- Prepare, review, and submit VAT returns, corporation tax, and personal tax returns.
- Assisting with year-end accounts and general accounting requirement.
- Liaising directly with clients and deal with queries, understanding their unique needs and ensuring they receive timely and accurate advice.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients on all matters related to accounting, tax, and financial planning.

Essential Requirements:
\n
\n

- A minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role within an accountancy practice.
- Strong understanding of UK accounting and tax regulations.
- Proficient with MS Office & various accounting / bookkeeping software (i.e. Sage, Sage Payroll, Xero Certified).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in the agricultural sector would be preferred but is not essential.
