Job Description

Our client, a dynamic and growing IT services provider based in Ayrshire, has an immediate vacancy for an experienced IT Field Engineer.

As an IT Field Engineer, you’ll spend your time onsite with clients, delivering expert support, troubleshooting issues, and implementing solutions. The rest of your time will be spent at our head office, collaborating with the team on projects, remote support, and system management.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys both face-to-face interaction and technical problem-solving.

To be considered, you must have:

  • At least 2 years of industry experience
  • Strong knowledge of Server Hardware & Microsoft Server OS
  • Experience in onsite and remote Desktop Support
  • Basic understanding of DNS and Web Hosting
  • Familiarity with Firewalls, WiFi, and router configuration
  • A full UK driving licence
  • Experience with MSP tools and remote support solutions

Experience with any of the following would be a bonus:

  • Linux
  • Microsoft 365 administration
  • Microsoft Hyper-V
  • Structured cabling
  • VoIP solutions
  • Layer 3 switching & VLAN configuration
  • MCP or equivalent certifications
