Job Description
On behalf of our client, a global manufacturing organisation, we are seeking a suitably experienced candidate to fill the position of Engineering Assistant Team Leader. This role will be based within the Irvine plant, directly reporting to the Engineering Team Leader.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and monitor the progress of job changes occurring in the cold end, addressing any mechanical issues swiftly to minimise downtime.
- Prioritise tasks and delegate responsibilities to members of the cold end engineering team to ensure essential tasks are completed.
- Assess the planned maintenance work needed during job changes to reduce the likelihood of engineering problems.
- Maintain open communication with plant management and other departments to enhance production efficiency.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and recommend procedural enhancements to foster continuous development.
- Provide support and guidance to help the business meet its KPIs.
Required Skills / Qualifications:
- Qualified, time-served engineer.
- Experience in a process environment is preferred.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- A solid understanding of Lean Six Sigma (LSS) tools and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with relevant Health & Safety and Hygiene Regulations.
- Effective people management skills.
