Our client in East Ayrshire have a vacancy within their busy production site for an enthusiastic, reliable individual who can start swiftly and commit to the following weekly dayshift hours, Monday - Friday from 6.30am - 3pm or backshift hours, Monday - Friday from 2.30pm - 11pm. The role will begin on Monday 24th August. Own transport would be beneficial due to location however, public transport is available directly from Cumnock or Ayr.
The successful person will play an important role within the site, ensuring all products are checked for quality or defects before being packed for distribution. You'll be working as part of the production team, operating and monitoring specialist machinery used in the production and packaging of the companies products.
Duties:
- Feeding/setting up and operating machinery
- Monitoring the mixing & filling process and production levels
- Responding to stops or adjustments
- Checking machinery is running safely and efficiently
- Carrying out quality and production checks
- Reporting faults or issues to the relevant team member
- Keeping machinery and the production area clean
- Following strict hygiene, and health & safety procedures
- Working as part of a busy production team
Skills:
- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable working in a factory/production environment
- Able to follow procedures and instructions
- Comfortable working around machinery
- Physically able to undertake a hands-on production role
- Good attention to detail
- Comfortable working to production targets
- Happy working as part of a team
