As an experienced, established and trusted precision optical firm, we provide a full start to finish in-house service from raw glass slab material, cut discs and mouldings, right through to polished and coated finished optical parts, prisms and assemblies. We are currently recruiting for Optical Workers to join our skilled and collaborative team.

Description
This is an exciting opportunity for candidates with experience in opto-electronics, CNC machining, precision metalwork, or a general engineering/manufacturing background who are looking to develop in a specialist environment.
Main Duties Of The Role Include:
- Operating various optical grinding and polishing machines
- Assisting in the handling and preparation of raw materials
- Follow written procedures to ensure efficient, safe production
- Maintaining accurate production records and documentation
- Following health & safety and company procedures
- Contributing to a clean, organised, and efficient workspace
Ideal Candidate Will Have The Following:
- Level 2 NVQ in Mechanical Engineering/PEO Level 2 (Performing Engineering Operations)
- A keen interest in manufacturing and hands‑on work
- Experience with CNC machining, optical components, OR precision manufacturing
- A strong background in general engineering or metalwork with transferable skills
- A keen eye for detail and a methodical approach to work
