About The Role

A multi‑skilled member of the warehouse team responsible with other team members for organising the receiving, storage, issue, dispatch and recording of material movements into the factory, in and out of the warehouse and out to the relevant customer. Responsible for maintenance of stock and traceability of records held in the warehouse.

Responsibilities:

  • Work in accordance with FIFO guidelines
  • Carry out periodic cycle counts and contribute to root cause investigations into discrepancies, participate in preventative action measures to prevent reoccurrence
  • Maintain Import/Export record accuracy to ensure logistics compliance at all times
  • Receive goods from transport, verify and receive onto Syspro
  • Forward goods requiring physical inspection to inspection
  • Identify and notify the appropriate personnel of items with Good’s Receiving Issues. Quarantine the parts and ensure actions are completed within a timely manner
  • Deliver goods to relevant area of the business
  • Undertake the smooth running of the dispatch process both in the physical packing of the goods and the paperwork including export, invoicing etc.
  • Material storage and handling
  • Ensure Manual Handling Equipment (MHE) is maintained in line with equipment recommendation
  • Demonstrate a flexible approach to work, help and support colleagues where possible
  • Contribute positively to daily stand‑up meetings and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Ensure smooth flow of goods inwards and despatch with effective use of overtime as required

Skills and Abilities:

  • Physically fit and able to handle products within the legal limits of manual handling guidelines
  • Previous experience of use of a pedestrianised forklift, willingness to complete training if not
  • Experience of using an ERP system such as Syspro or equivalent
  • Be familiar with and trained in the use of the appropriate MHE, willingness to complete training if not
