Base pay range

An industry leading mechanical & electrical building services specialist are currently recruiting a Mechanical Project Manager, in accordance with an upcoming major commercial shell & core project due to commence in the coming months. The business predominantly provides M&E design and installation services to the commercial office, data centre, education, healthcare, hotel & leisure, and residential sectors while working in partnership with a range of blue-chip main contractors.

Due to continuous business growth, the business now has an upcoming opening for a Mechanical Project Manager to lead a commercial office project, located within the city of London. This career opportunity will offer exposure to some of London’s most exciting construction projects, while working with a forward-thinking employer.

Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Attend pre-tender meetings.
  2. Oversee preconstruction & procurement processes.
  3. Management of site personnel (including schedule of works).
  4. Ensuring projects are delivered in a timely & efficient manner.
  5. Commercial acumen, regularly liaising with the internal commercial team with regards to costs of labour, procurement, final accounts etc.
  6. Attend project meetings with clients, consultants, third party subcontractors and internal teams.
  7. Build & maintain relationships with clients & supply chain.
  8. MEP project management & site coordination.
  9. Ensure HSE standards are adhered to.

Skills

  1. Strong technical knowledge of mechanical building services systems.
  2. Time management & organisation.
  3. Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and teams effectively.

Qualifications/ Education

  1. Relevant building services or mechanical engineering qualification.
  2. Experience managing mechanical building services projects valued upwards of £1 million.
  3. Knowledge of construction regulations and best practices.
