We are seeking a high performing individual with a specific specialism in substation design for electricity networks. Our projects include onshore and offshore generation (particularly solar PV, wind and BESS) connection projects. We also work with onshore Transmission Owners and Distribution Network Operators to deliver a variety of projects.
Projects range from distribution to transmission level and include Solar PV, BESS and wind farm connections.
This position is for a Lead Substation Design Engineer with significant experience in carrying out substation design, ideally at Transmission and Distribution voltages. You will also be interested in training and developing our staff internally, fostering a collaborative approach.
- 5+ years’ experience within the electricity networks industry.
- Master’s degree or higher in a relevant engineering subject.
- Strong Substation Design experience, using tools such as AutoCAD (Primary Plant experience is essential).
- Ability to carry out independent engineering design reviews, including review of the equipment specified, optimal plant configurations, checking design versus relevant specifications etc.
- Excellent report writing skills.
