Are you a Mechanical Project Engineer looking to step up onto some of London’s most iconic and complex construction schemes? I am currently recruiting for a Mechanical Project Engineer to join a market-leading Tier 1 M&E Contractor based in Central London. This is a chance to join a business with a massive pipeline of work and a reputation for technical excellence.

The Projects

This isn’t a "one-sector" role. You will gain invaluable experience across a diverse portfolio, including:

  • Commercial: High-spec shell and core and fit-out.
  • Data Centres: Critical infrastructure and high-power cooling systems.
  • Healthcare & Education: Complex, high-compliance technical builds.

Project Values: Ranging from £20M to £80M+.

The Role

As a Mechanical Project Engineer, you will be right in the thick of the delivery. You’ll be responsible for:

  • Managing mechanical packages from pre-con through to commissioning and handover.
  • Technical submittal reviews and managing RFI processes.
  • Overseeing sub-contractors and ensuring high standards of health, safety, and quality.
  • Procurement of plant and specialist mechanical equipment.
  • Working closely with the Commercial and Design teams to keep the project on track and under budget.

What we are looking for:

  • A solid background in Mechanical Engineering (HNC/HND or Degree preferred).
  • Experience working for an M&E sub-contractor on projects over £5M.
  • A drive to take ownership of packages and a "problem-solving" mindset.
  • Ambition, someone who wants to progress into a Senior role or Project Management.
