We are recruiting a Project Manager to join a leading UK building services and facilities management organisation in Manchester. You will deliver Facilities Infrastructure and Capital Planned Maintenance projects safely, compliantly, and to a high standard, while protecting live Business-as-Usual (BAU) operations. This is a long-term opportunity with a healthy pipeline, offering genuine career development.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver FI and CPM projects with zero impact to critical BAU operations
- Ensure installations meet design intent, specifications, and drawings
- Manage commissioning, witnessing, validation, and formal sign-off
- Act as technical SME for existing site infrastructure, supporting Client Services and Design teams
- Control all project documentation from installation through handover
- Coordinate projects alongside live operations to minimise disruption
- Manage variations in line with contractual and governance procedures
- Monitor contractor performance, programme risk, and mitigation actions
- Protect existing client assets, systems, and site infrastructure
Skills & Experience
- Strong leadership, organisation, and stakeholder management skills
- Confident communicator, able to work autonomously and under pressure
- Electrical or Mechanical qualifications / experience
- Minimum 5 years' post-training experience in building services or project delivery
- Solid knowledge of facilities management and building services environments
- Health & Safety qualification (essential)
- Experience in large commercial or corporate environments
- Competent with Microsoft Excel and CAFM systems
- Flexible approach to working patterns
