About the apprenticeship programme
GH Display, in partnership with Anglia Ruskin University (ARU), runs a Project Manager Degree Apprentice Programme. This programme allows you to earn while you learn, working full time with GH Display while studying towards a BSc (Hons) Project Management degree. You’ll gain a nationally recognised qualification while developing the skills to manage projects, people, and processes effectively within a fast-paced commercial environment. The apprenticeship blends academic learning with hands‑on experience, giving you a strong foundation in project management principles, leadership, and operational practice.
About GH Display
GH Display is a custom exhibition stand builder based in Peterborough. We design, print, manufacture, and install bespoke exhibition stands across the UK, Europe, and worldwide. Alongside exhibition services, we also supply portable displays, event branding, storage, and stock management. Our workshop is located at PE7 3SJ, and because it is not serviced by public transport, applicants must be able to travel by private vehicle.
The role as a project manager apprentice
As part of GH Display’s sales and project team, you will gain direct experience in project coordination, customer communication, and operational delivery. The role combines sales support, project management, and customer service responsibilities, ensuring you develop broad, transferable skills.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting projects from the initial enquiry and quotation stage through to delivery and aftersales.
- Coordinating tasks between design, production, and installation teams.
- Responding to customer enquiries via phone, email, and in person.
- Processing website, email, and telephone orders.
- Managing outgoing deliveries, booking transport, and liaising with suppliers.
- Logging enquiries and tracking progress using IT systems.
- Monitoring order production and ensuring timely dispatch.
- Assisting with sales growth by communicating with existing customers and generating new leads.
- Supporting marketing activities, including email campaigns and social media updates.
- Maintaining excellent customer relationships and ensuring high service standards.
What you will learn

Entry requirements
In addition to the person specifications that have been set out by GH Display, these are the entry requirements for the course:
- All applicants must hold minimum Level 2 English or equivalent qualification and meet age related English and Maths requirements as outlined by the DfE.
- Evidence of Level 3 qualifications e.g. 3 A Levels at grade C or above, BTEC (or equivalent).
- Confirmed eligibility to be funded as an apprentice as set out within the ESFA’s Funding Rules.
- A completed ARU Skills Scan and Initial Assessment discussion.
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn are essential.
- Applicants must be able to travel independently to GH Display’s Peterborough workshop.
Fees
Degree apprenticeships are fully funded by your employer and the Government.
