Print Technician Apprenticeship with GH Display
About the apprenticeship programme
The level 3 print technician apprenticeship enables you to obtain a formal print qualification while developing practical, hands‑on skills. You’ll work closely with our experienced print manager and production team, gaining a technical and practical understanding of the print production process and installation from start to finish. The apprenticeship combines on‑the‑job training with structured learning through Learn2Print, a specialist print training provider. Off‑site training takes place at their centre in Thrapston one day per month, with additional online support and mentoring throughout the programme.

GH Display is a well‑established custom exhibition stand builder based in Peterborough. We design, manufacture, and install bespoke exhibition stands across the UK, Europe, and worldwide. Alongside exhibitions, we also provide portable displays, office branding, graphics, furniture hire, event branding, storage, and installation services. Our workshop is located in Washingley, Peterborough (PE7 3SJ), which is not serviced by public transport. Therefore, apprentices must be able to travel by private vehicle.
The role as print technician apprentice
As an Apprentice Print Technician, you’ll gain experience across all aspects of large‑format print production, including:
- Processing customer artwork files and setting up printers.
- Printing custom graphics on a variety of media.
- Finishing prints using methods such as stitching, cutting, and applying fixtures.
- Preparing graphics for installation on exhibition stands, displays, and banners.
- Maintaining print equipment and ensuring quality standards are met.
- Working to deadlines in a busy production environment.

Through both the on‑the‑job experience and the Learn2Print Level 3 Print Technician Apprenticeship course, you will study:
