Care Assistant / Support Worker
Location: Minehead
As a Care Assistant, you will provide high-quality, compassionate care to clients in a residential, nursing, or home care setting. You will support individuals with their daily living activities, ensuring their dignity, comfort, and well‑being at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Support clients with mobility, transfers, and safe use of equipment.
- Administer medication under supervision, following care plans and health & safety procedures.
- Prepare and serve meals, ensuring dietary requirements are met.
- Monitor clients’ physical and emotional well‑being, reporting any changes to senior staff.
- Maintain accurate care records and documentation.
- Promote independence and encourage social engagement.
- Assist with household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment.
- Follow all safeguarding policies and procedures to protect vulnerable adults.
Skills & Qualifications
