Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team in providing high-quality care and support to residents in a care home environment. Your role will be vital in promoting dignity, independence, and well-being for each individual.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care tasks such as washing, dressing, toileting, and grooming.
• Support residents with mobility and physical activities, including using mobility aids.
• Help with mealtimes, serving food and drinks, and assisting residents who need help eating.
• Provide emotional support and companionship, promoting mental and emotional well-being.
• Record and report changes in residents conditions to senior staff or nurses.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for all residents.
• Support residents in social activities and daily routines.
• Ensure residents dignity and privacy are always respected.

Requirements:

• Genuine passion for working in care and helping others.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
• Reliability, patience, and a caring nature.
• Previous experience in a care setting is desirable but not essential.
• Willingness to undergo training and DBS check.

Desirable:

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care.
• Manual Handling, First Aid, and Safeguarding training.
• Medication Awareness
