Location: HMP Parkhurst, Clissold Rd, Newport. PO30 5NX

Salary: £27,276.60 per annum

Contract: Permanent - 39 hrs per week - Mon-Sun

We are seeking a dedicated Cleaning Operative to join our team at HMP Parkhurst, a category B, adult male prison.

We are a Ministry of Justice business and provide critical and time-bound services to HMPPS, and are looking for a Cleaning Operative with a combination of:

  • Experience of working within a cleaning environment
  • Knowledge of COSHH
  • Knowledge of relevant health and safety requirements
  • Excellent organisational, time management and people skills.

Future Plans.

GFSL has been notified by it's shareholder (MOJ) that the provision of FM Services will in future be delivered by the private sector. This means that following a successful procurement process, GFSL's services will complete transfer to a private sector provider/providers no sooner than August 2027.
