We are seeking a lead for the Programme Management team to join our growing business. You will be part of a dynamic and experienced organisation, bringing the features and framework of traditional derivative markets to the rapidly expanding digital asset arena.
The Head of Programme Management will lead the strategic planning, execution, and governance of cross-functional initiatives within the regulated exchange environment. This role ensures the management and delivery of complex programmes aligned with regulatory requirements, business growth objectives, operational and technical excellence.
The scope of the role will involve close partnership with internal stakeholders including but not limited to the GFO-X Executive Management, Sales and Membership, Product, Risk, Technology (mostly Hong Kong based) and Operations teams.
- Day-to-day management of the Programme Management Team.
- Own and maintain end-to-end delivery plans for assigned initiatives, from initial requirements through to implementation and operational readiness.
- Translate business, regulatory, and operational requirements into clear, actionable delivery plans with defined owners, milestones, and dependencies.
- Provide regular, clear reporting on progress, risks, and issues to senior stakeholders and governance forums using the Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, CoPilot).
- Create and maintain project documentation and management information, including RAID logs, with a strong focus on mitigation and outcomes rather than administration.
- Work closely with Compliance, Risk, and Trade Surveillance to ensure regulatory and control requirements are fully embedded into delivered solutions.
- Partner with R&D and Product teams to ensure business and functional intent is accurately reflected in technical implementation.
- Organise, chair, and drive project working groups and delivery forums, ensuring decisions are made and actions are followed through.
- Support audit and regulatory activity by ensuring delivery outcomes are evidenced, documented, and governance ready.
Minimum 7 years’ experience in programme management or delivery role within financial services, exchanges, trading venues, consulting, or other regulated environments.
Experience leading and scaling high-performing programme management teams.
Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams across technology, product, risk, operations, compliance.
Prior experience in Banking or Non-Bank Financial Institutions and exposure to derivatives would be a plus.
Familiarity with the main Tier One regulatory frameworks would be a plus.
Previous experience working under SDLC methodologies such as SCRUM, Agile, Waterfall, Six Sigma, or CMM.
Hands-on experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and other project management systems.
Hands-on experience of operating AI in the context of programme management is an advantage.
