Are you an organised and detail‑focused Paraplanner with strong technical and communication skills? Looking to take the next step in your career within a growing and supportive wealth management practice? We are recruiting for a Paraplanner on behalf of our client, a successful St. James’s Place Partner Practice, based in Tenterden. You will play a key role in supporting Advisers, helping to deliver high‑quality, compliant and client‑focused financial planning advice. This role would suit either a part‑qualified Paraplanner working towards Diploma level or an experienced Paraplanner with strong report‑writing skills.
The Role
- Preparing high‑quality suitability reports across investments, pensions, protection, retirement planning and inheritance tax planning
- Analysing client information and carrying out detailed technical research
- Structuring advice in line with client objectives, SJP propositions and FCA requirements
- Supporting Advisers with pre‑and post‑meeting preparation
- Producing cashflow modelling and planning illustrations where required
- Assisting with complex planning cases and technical queries
- Maintaining accurate client records, workflows and documentation using Salesforce
- Keeping up to date with regulatory, legislative and SJP proposition changes
We Are Looking for Someone Who:
- Has experience within a UK financial planning or paraplanning environment
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of the regulated advice process
- Has excellent written communication skills and a high level of attention to detail
- Can manage multiple cases and meet deadlines effectively
- Is confident working independently and as part of a team
- Handles sensitive client information with complete discretion
Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience writing suitability reports independently
- Strong pensions and retirement planning knowledge
- Experience within a St. James’s Place Partner Practice
- Experience using Salesforce or cashflow planning software
Qualifications
- Part‑qualified Paraplanner: Working towards Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (CII, CISI or equivalent)
- Experienced Paraplanner: Diploma‑qualified or able to demonstrate substantial paraplanning experience
- Exam support and study funding are available where required.
