Who You Are

  • Lead a small group of talented engineers building and enhancing features for unsplash.com.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally (Web, API, Design, Data ...) to gain a deep understanding of our product, users, and what needs to be prioritised to keep Unsplash thriving.
  • Develop, pitch and deliver product ideas and improvements that are aligned to business needs.
  • Promote a culture of ownership, accountability and high standards.
  • Maintain and evolve our front‑end platform, ensuring it meets the availability/performance needs of our users, and is optimised for fast and frictionless development.
  • Support team members in their growth and development, empowering them to achieve their career goals and deliver exceptional work.
  • Use data to drive decisions, insights and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Need

  • Ready to hit the ground running in a player‑coach role.
  • Comfortable leading a team, and being responsible for the growth, development and performance of team members.
  • Expert in front‑end technologies incl. Node, TypeScript, React, Next.js.
  • Experience building web applications at scale.
  • Experience with functional programming.
