Main duties include: To carry out Pathology investigations of patient samples under supervision as requested by the Clinical Services. To operate and assist in the maintenance of laboratory equipment according to departmental and manufacturer protocols and procedures. To ensure agreed standards for turnaround times of samples and results are met. To follow departmental operating procedures for Pathology analyses and undertake proper maintenance of equipment used. To ensure work is completed and a handover is communicated prior to leaving a section. To inform the senior staff or requesting clinician of non-conformances.
