Vacancy Description

We are seeking highly motivated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Residential Childcare Workers in therapeutic children\’s homes. You will offer support, guidance, and care to children and young people who have faced trauma and may have additional needs.

Your role will include:

  • Supporting the physical, emotional, and social development of children and young people in the home.
  • Creating a safe and supportive environment for children and young people.
  • Providing practical and emotional support to children and young people, including daily routines and medical appointments.
  • Collaborating with other professionals and agencies to provide a holistic support system for our young people.
  • Maintaining accurate electronic records and documentation.

It has an Ofsted Grade 2 Good rating and an overall achievement rate of 71.4%, exceeding the national average of 65.6%. Using a blended approach, learners are always at the forefront of our priorities. All learners are assigned a Personal Tutor who will be their main point of contact.

This involves regular catch-ups, check-in emails, and calls. Your employer will agree to give you 20% of your working hours solely towards your study.

This will give you every chance to achieve the highest grade possible! On completion of this 24-month apprenticeship, you will have gained: Children, young people and families practitioner (Level 4).
