Vacancy Description

• Actively participates in HSE&S and activities, including the use of point of work risk assessment
• Install, fit, tests, assemble, commission, maintain and repair mechanical systems and equipment
• Servicing and repair of customer machinery, in both a reactive and preventative situation
• Ensures safe systems of work are in place for both planned and reactive activities, including isolation of energy sources and the acceptance, understanding and application of Permit to Work (PTW)
• Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical systems both internally and externally of GV Engineering
• Performs mechanical diagnosis and corrective maintenance
• Builds, erects, constructs, disconnects and disassembly of parts and equipment as required
• Ensure all GV Engineering Assets, plant and equipment is fit for purpose, systematically maintained, fixed and checked through a methodical approach to all equipment (in turn minimises intervention and minimalises downtime)
• Continually looks for ways to improve all standards and ways of work, including the upkeep of the workshop, tools and equipment and PPE
