Vacancy Description
A Berthon marine electrician apprentice will learn how to install and maintain all the electrical and electronic systems onboard private luxury sail/motor yachts and small commercial vessels, including Royal Navy vessels. You will learn how to install cable trays and trunking, engine management systems, batteries and battery monitoring systems, navigation systems, radar, GPS, autopilot, mast electrics, commercial and defence electronic systems, shore power, and domestic systems including lighting. You will work on both AC and DC systems and learn how to diagnose and rectify faults on both marine electrical and marine electronics systems.
