In this job role you will:

  • Use equipment such as lathes, drillers, grinding, welding and CAD equipment to manufacture components required by the department.
  • Assist with maintaining tools, jigs, fixtures and equipment.
  • Assist with the manufacture and assembly of special purpose machinery.
  • Assist with the manufacture of new tools, jigs and fixtures.
  • Use various engineering materials: Mild steel to EN19, Aluminium, Phosphor Bronze, Copper, Nylon, Plastic.
  • Train others if required.
  • Work in a team.
  • Complete relevant paperwork, route cards and daily check sheets.
  • Keep work area clean and tidy.

Training to be Provided: Machining Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard. You will be required to attend In-Comm Training 12 Vigo Pl, Aldridge, Walsall WS9 8UG 2 and a half days per week for the first 14 months.
