Role duties include:
- Providing for all animals' physical needs including feeding, cleaning, and grooming and completing daily health checks
- Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness by washing and maintaining the feeding utensils, litter trays, bedding, and all areas of the enclosures
- Preparing food and drink for the animals in line with specific needs
- Dog exercise and enrichment
- Observing and promoting the animals' physical, social, and emotional development
- Administering medication with full supervision
- Taking bookings and providing excellent customer support
Hest Bank is a luxury boarding kennels for dogs and cats. We also have small animals and birds here to work with. This opportunity comes at an exciting time in our business as we are looking to expand our team, we pride ourselves on an open-door policy and friendly atmosphere and are looking for candidates with the same mind-set.
Training to be Provided: Full training to be provided by the employer and KEITS at the place of employment. The applicant will be working towards and gain a Level 2 Animal Care & Welfare Apprenticeship Standard. The learner will be allocated an industry specific training consultant who will provide both remote and on site visits throughout the apprenticeship. The apprentice will work towards an End Point Assessment (EPA) at the end of their apprenticeship.
