• Experience in working on a roof
• Able to accommodate a tradesman\’s needs without excessive instruction
• Able to prepare work areas for the roofers upon instruction and load materials safely
• Be trained in manual handling, working at height and abrasive wheels
• Be competent in the safe use of hand and power tools e.g., hand saw, grinder, hammer
• Have knowledge of roofing materials – recognise eaves, gables, tiles, trims, outlets, liquids etc
