About Getting Clean
Getting Clean is a startup soap business-for-good based in Leeds. Our mission is to help ensure that all recovering addicts in the UK have access to peer support and employment opportunities. We began as a local community project and social enterprise, and recently secured funding to scale into a national soap brand, with the goal of donating profits to addiction charities across the UK. Along the way, we’ve developed some bold (and slightly unconventional) marketing ideas and built products we’re genuinely proud of. Things are moving fast, and we’re now recruiting to help drive the next stage of our growth.
About the role
We’re looking for a Product & Growth Manager to help develop, launch, and grow our product range while supporting commercial traction and brand awareness. This is a hands-on role for someone excited by consumer products, startups, and meaningful impact. You’ll work closely with the leadership team across product development and growth initiatives — turning ideas into real products, helping them land in the market, and learning fast from customer feedback.
What you’ll do
- Support the development, testing, and iteration of new soap and body care products
- Help plan and execute product launches and seasonal ranges
- Analyse sales data, customer feedback, and performance metrics to inform product and growth decisions
- Support growth initiatives, including marketing campaigns, partnerships, and promotions
- Work with suppliers, manufacturers, and creatives to bring products to life
- Help improve internal processes related to product, stock, and planning
- Get involved in experimental and guerrilla-style marketing ideas to drive awareness
- Step in where needed to help the business move faster and smarter
What we’re looking for
- Strong Analytical Skills and experience working with Analytics tools to interpret data, define KPIs, and inform product and growth decisions.
- Comfortable working across product, marketing, and commercial tasks in a small, fast-moving team
- Commercially minded, with an interest in ethical consumer goods and brand-building
- Confident communicator who can work with suppliers, partners, and creatives
- Self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and takes ownership
- Detail-oriented, but able to think strategically about growth and product-market fit
- Excellent Communication abilities, including clear written and verbal communication for internal collaboration and external stakeholder engagement.
Nice to haves
- A desire to create meaningful social or environmental impact
- Experience (or strong curiosity) around startups, FMCG, or mission-led brands
- Willingness to get involved in unconventional and guerrilla-style marketing ideas
- An interest in addiction recovery, social justice, or purpose-driven business
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, economics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven Sales and commercial acumen, with experience supporting or leading revenue-generating activities and building partner or customer relationships.
Why join us
- Be part of scaling a purpose-driven brand from Leeds to national impact
- Work closely with the leadership team and influence real product and growth decisions
- Learn across product development, marketing, operations, and commercial strategy
- Help build a business that gives back — by design, not as an afterthought
- Join a small team with ambition, humour, and some slightly wild ideas
- Living-wage employer that genuinely cares about its people
Who this role is for
This role is ideal for someone who wants responsibility, variety, and impact, and who’s excited by the messy, energising reality of startup life. If you’re curious, capable, values-driven, and up for the ride — we’d love to hear from you.
