This role can be based anywhere in the UK, remotely, with the following details:

  • 5 hours, Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am and 5pm.

Responsibilities include:

  • Support and ongoing development of the client’s ETL middleware systems.
  • Provide 24/7 application support and application development to our UK customers.
  • Help maintain strong relationships with our customers and enhance their applications while expanding the services.
  • Provide full technical support to the customer, including development and support to external suppliers.
  • Assist the team leader in future projects through the full project life cycle (specification, development, system testing, implementation, and ongoing support).

Relevant experience working in a support and development role will be advantageous, including:

  • Object-oriented programming or ETL tool – ideally in a product such as IBM’s WebSphere DataStage TX (Mercator).
  • Unix shell scripting/programming – ideally Solaris.
  • Relational Databases/SQL – in particular Oracle DB.
  • Knowledge of job scheduling tools such as IBM Workload Scheduler.
