Team Purpose:

The Solution Design teamwork as an autonomous function specifically tasked to work alongside Business development and design innovative solutions to customer business needs.

The team is comprised of a growing number of architects supported by Technical Architects, Bid Management and Pricing Consultants.

The Solution Design team are the main contributor to Business opportunities and work alongside the Global portfolio team, who continuously define and drive portfolio improvement projects as Getronics leverages its Global capabilities, as well as those of its GWA partners, in continuously improving its relevance to the Business community.

Role Purpose:

The successful candidate will be engaged on opportunities from inception to conclusion, from the pre-sales stage supporting Business development leads in qualifying and scoping deals through to solutioning designs, gaining stakeholder approvals, driving cost and risk models and customer presentations finalising with contract schedule revision, negotiations and handover to delivery.

The Lead Deal Architect will design outsourcing and managed service solutions that enable Getronics to drive growth by winning new business and retaining existing customers through renewals. The Lead Deal Architect will therefore be an integral part of the Business Development function.

The ideal candidate will have spent 8+ years plus as a Service, Deal and/or Solution Architect and currently be working in a Pre-Sales role working on multi-discipline managed services and outsourcing opportunities.

The candidate will be able to take a set of Business Requirements (typically from RFI/RFP) from a client and transpose these into a Solution that they will in turn design, cost and present internally for approval prior to client presentations.

The ideal candidate will have experience of and a good in-depth understanding of all aspects of ICT managed solutions including technology, service delivery and commercial architecture of medium to large IT outsourcing deals. In addition, a good working knowledge of how solutions are delivered though different models, such as onshore, offshore and Cloud will be advantageous.

What to expect:

  • Work with Business Development in proposing proactive customer engagements outside of customer buying processes.
  • Work collaboratively with customers to ascertain buying criteria and analyse business strategies translating them into architectures and designs.
  • Analyse and breakdown customer RFP and RFI’s
  • Be a key member of bid teams for each customer opportunity working in close partnership with the Business development lead, Bid Manager, Pricing Consultant and Subject Matter Experts (SME’s).
  • Own the overall Solution, ensuring that customer requirements are met or exceeded.
  • Provide innovation to differentiate Getronics solution from competitors.
  • Lead customer workshops to collaboratively build solutions with the client.
  • Author solution documents and contribute to Bid responses.
  • Be a key contributor to costs and occasionally own the financial model
  • Lead internal Solution workshops with Pricing, Bid Management, Service Delivery and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure that the best solution architecture is adopted.
  • Support the development of new portfolio offerings and propositions.

  • Financial fluency which includes working with P&L, TCO, ROI, cost analysis, and financial statements
  • Commercial knowledge – contractual & TUPE awareness.
  • Experienced in editing and creating service schedules
  • Demonstrate and develop innovative solutions including Transformation

Qualification/Certification requirements

  • ITIL v3/v4 Foundation Certificate (essential), Manager Certificate (desired)
  • SIAM, CMMI and ISO20000 (desired)
