The Site Technician / Site Supervisor provides on-site technical support and supervision for construction projects, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant execution of works. This role is responsible for coordinating site activities, monitoring work quality, ensuring compliance with safety standards and Singapore’s regulatory requirements, and supporting the Site Technical Manager in daily project operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Support & Project Coordination: Carry out technical support for formwork and other new product installations at project sites. Liaise and coordinate closely with the Person-in-Charge (PIC) of the project site to ensure smooth execution of works. Perform project coordination duties, including transportation and relevant logistical support. Plan and carry out routine equipment maintenance duties to ensure operational readiness.
- Safety & Compliance: Understand and apply Singapore’s Code of Practices and relevant WSH Act requirements. Ensure that all work complies with the provisions of the WSH Act and its subsidiary regulations. Promote safe work practices on company and client sites, ensuring safety standards are maintained at all times. Conduct regular toolbox meetings and safety briefings for site staff. Inspect and rectify unsafe conditions or practices at the worksite. Monitor and check work performed by staff, workers, and external vendors/suppliers to ensure compliance with WSH regulations. Liaise with external vendors, suppliers, or other relevant parties’ safety personnel regarding safe conduct of work.
- General Duties: Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Site Technical Manager or Project Management team.
Requirements:
- Education: Diploma / Certificate in Construction, Civil Engineering, Technical Studies, or a related field.
- Experience: No prior experience required; fresh graduates and entry-level candidates are welcome. Experience with formwork, equipment installation, and site operations is preferred. Exposure to WSH Act and safety management on construction sites is an advantage. Training and guidance will be provided on technical, operational, and safety tasks.
- Language Proficiency: Proficient in English. Able to read and write Chinese to liaise with HQ and Chinese-speaking colleagues.
- Skills & Competencies: Strong understanding of construction site operations and technical installation practices. Knowledge of workplace safety regulations and ability to enforce compliance on-site. Good coordination and communication skills to liaise with site staff, vendors, and management. Ability to supervise, inspect, and guide staff to ensure quality and safety standards. Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently under supervision.
