On behalf of a client in our partner network, we are currently looking for an Operating Model Manager to join their team.

Our client is a global professional services firm headquartered in London with over 15,000 professionals across 40 countries, providing audit, advisory, and consulting services to clients across private and public sectors. Following a significant period of investment and growth, the firm is undertaking a structured review of its operating model to improve efficiency, sharpen client focus, and enable greater collaboration across its service lines. The Operating Model Manager will be a key member of the firm's internal transformation team.

As Operating Model Manager, you will lead workstreams within the firm’s operating model redesign programme, analysing current‑state performance, designing future‑state options, and supporting the implementation of agreed changes. You will work across service lines, geographies, and functions and will produce structured recommendations for the firm’s senior leadership on how it should organise to deliver its strategy.

What You'll Do

  • Lead current‑state assessments of the firm’s operating model across selected functions and service lines, including process mapping, cost analysis, and performance benchmarking.
  • Design future‑state operating model options, including organisational structure, governance, shared services, and technology enablement.
  • Develop business cases for operating model changes, including costs, benefits, risks, and implementation considerations.
  • Support the implementation of approved changes, working with HR, Finance, and Technology teams.
  • Prepare clear, structured deliverables for senior leadership review and engagement.

What We're Looking For

  • 5–8 years of experience in management consulting, organisational design, or an internal transformation role, with direct exposure to operating model design work.
  • Strong analytical and structured thinking skills, able to decompose complex organisations and build clear, evidence‑based recommendations.
  • Excellent communication skills, comfortable facilitating senior workshops and preparing board‑quality deliverables.
  • Experience working in or with large professional services or knowledge‑intensive organisations.
  • Familiarity with org design frameworks (e.g., Galbraith Star, McKinsey 7S) is an advantage.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary of £80,000 – £105,000, depending on experience.
  • Annual discretionary bonus.
  • Defined contribution pension and private health cover.
  • 28 days holiday and hybrid working from the London office.
