With revenues exceeding £1.5bn and a refreshed leadership team driving a major strategic transformation, they are investing heavily in their in-house strategy capability to support long-range planning, portfolio decisions, and M&A activity. The corporate strategy team works directly with the Group CEO and CFO on the issues that matter most to the business.
The Role
As Corporate Strategy Manager, you will sit within a small, high-impact central strategy team and work on the most consequential strategic questions facing the business. You will lead workstreams spanning long-range planning, competitive positioning, M&A screening, and strategic initiatives — producing analysis and recommendations that go directly to the Executive Committee and Board.
What You'll Do
- Lead end-to-end strategy projects, from scoping and analysis through to structured recommendations for senior leadership.
- Support the annual long-range planning process, working across business units to synthesise performance, risks, and strategic options.
- Screen M&A and partnership opportunities, including market sizing, financial analysis, and strategic fit assessment.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor moves, and macroeconomic developments relevant to the group's portfolio.
- Prepare high-quality materials for Board and ExCo discussions, ensuring clarity of argument and rigour of evidence.
What We're Looking For
- 4–7 years of experience, with a strong foundation in management consulting (top-tier firm preferred) or an in-house strategy role at a large corporate.
- Excellent structured problem-solving and analytical skills — able to break down complex issues and build a clear, evidence-based point of view.
- Strong written communication; able to craft board-ready materials with minimal direction.
- Comfortable working across multiple business units and senior stakeholders simultaneously.
- Exposure to M&A, strategic finance, or corporate development is an advantage.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary of £80,000 – £105,000, commensurate with experience. Annual bonus based on individual and group performance. Share incentive plan and long-term incentive awards. Comprehensive benefits including private health, pension, and 27 days holiday.
